9.4 Cage Regs Clarification

In GCR, Section D., change as follows:
"D. ROLL CAGE ATTACHING POINTS AND SIDE PROTECTION
1. (Effective 6/1/25) Improved Touring, Spec Miata, B-Spec, and C-Spec, T2, T3 and T4 classe s –The roll cage must attach to the
vehicle structure within the passenger compartment in a minimum of through the six 9.4.A. required 6 points only, unless
otherwise allowed. and a maximum of 8 points, maximum of 12 points for T2, T3 and T4, as specified in these rules. T2 and T3only - Up to an additional 6 mounting points may be used with a 100# pound penalty. These include, but are not limited to, A-Pillar, B-Pillar, Roof, Rocker, but may not extend past the fire wall. The roll cage may not pass through any structural member,
including the firewall, except Miata rear main hoop braces may pass through the package tray. Seam welding is not permitted in

2. All other classes–There is no limit on cage attachment points. The roll cage must be integrated into the frame or
chassis. (Effective 6/1/25) T2, T3 and T4 classes –The roll cage must attach to the vehicle structure within the passenger
compartment in a minimum of 6 points and a maximum of 8 points, maximum of 12 points for T2, as specified in these rules. T2

In GCR, Section 9.4.C.3. change the following:
"(Effective 6/1/25) Cars competing in Improved Touring, Spec Miata, Touring, B-Spec, and C-Spec may extend one tube, fromeach front down tube, forward to the firewall, bulkhead or wheel well, but not penetrating any panel."
In GCR, Section 9.4.D.4.d., change the following:
"Cars competing in Improved Touring, Spec Miata, T4, B-Spec, and C-Spec may (Effective 6/1/25) additionally extend one tube
per side from the door bars down to the rocker panel."
In GCR, Section 9.4.D.6., add the following:
"(Effective 6/1/25) Cars competing in Improved Touring, Spec Miata, Touring, B-Spec, and C-Spec may additionally extend one
tube, from each front down tube, forward to the firewall, bulkhead or wheel well, but not penetrating any panel."
